AIMES Grid Services was named Knowledge Business of the Year at the Liverpool Daily Post's Regional Business Awards last night.

The award, which was sponsored by Liverpool John Moores University, was made in recognition of AIMES' success at commercialising technology for the benefit of businesses in the region.

AIMES won against stiff competition from Aspire Trust and Ventcroft to take home the award in front of an audience of 400 local business leaders and owners at St George's Hall.

Speaking at the awards dinner, Professor Dennis Kehoe, chief executive of AIMES Grid Services, said: "At AIMES, we pride ourselves on providing local businesses with world-class technology solutions. It's a great honour for us to have our work publicly endorsed in this way by both Liverpool John Moores University and the Liverpool Daily Post."
